About me
Let me briefly introduce myself…
As an English to French translator and copywriter, and a French national, I have specialised in adapting English-language copy for the French market for the last 25 years.
Also known as “transcreation”, this specialism aims to provide copy which is uniquely crafted for your specific target audience and target market.
A large share of my work is for advertising and promotional copy (press ads, radio/TV/web VO scripts, OOH media, PR, websites).
I also translate and proofread articles for company coffee table magazines, as well as children literature.
Over the years I have worked with many international blue-chip companies and well-renowned London publishers.
Education and Diplomas
After studying Advertising and Communication in France, I went on to complete an MA in English; I translated a short-story by John Irving and wrote a detailed translation commentary for my thesis, for which I was awarded First Class Honours.
I then moved to the UK where I started my translation career and became a Qualified Member
of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (ITI) and of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIoL), and passed the latter’s Diploma in Translation (DipTrans).
After 12 exciting years working as a transcreator, translator, copywriter, proofreader and sub-editor in the UK, I’m currently based in France again. Cocorico!

In 2019 I received the ITI Award for Best Translation Assignment.

« We enlisted Nathalie’s services back in August of 2020, and she has been our main and only French translator since. She has translated some children’s picture books for us, as well as some educational material, from English into French.
